Jungle Birthday Card

These guys were so stinkin' cute I had to earn them with my free Sale-A-Bration earnings.  You too can earn both the stamps and the dies with your $150 order. That is the only way to get these. The offer ends this month. The card is a little time consuming/tedious because there are so many pieces to adhere but so worth it when it is done!

JUNGLE BIRTHDAY CARD

Cased Lisa Ann Bernard

HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:

  1. Take the (4 1/4” x 5 1/2”) piece of Granny Green cardstock and lay it on the front of your card base (4 1/4” x 11” scored at 5 1/2”) and runtime two through the emboss machine with the Perennial Postage die. Make sure both pieces of cardstock are lined up evenly and that he die is centered.  Run it through 2-3 times to make sure it cuts through both. Set aside
  2. Run al your other leaf and grass dies through with different shades of green to create your “jungle”. Set aside.
  3. Stamp your crocodile, sloth, and lemur using either black or Pebbled Path ink on the corresponding colors of cardstock then run through the die machine.
  4. Now you are pretty much ready to start assembling.
  5. Score the front of your card base, on each side at 2 3/4” (folding half is what you are doing.
  6. Adhere the window/acetate, using your mini glue dots, to the back side of the loose window frame. At this point you have two choices.  You can adhere this to your card base and then create your jungle scene OR, create your scene and then adhere this to your card front.   Just make sure you have it oriented correctly or your design from postage die will not line up correctly with the one on the card base.
  7. To adhere the window to the card base, I recommend using Tear & Tape because it is stronger.  Anyhow, put the adhesive on the lower portion  Across the bottom and up on both sides up to the score line. BUT!! Be very careful when laying the cover down because there really isn’t any wiggle room for a mistake with this adhesive.
  8. The difficult part is done.  Now punch an oval and stamp your sentiment on it.
  9. Adhere your white (3 3/4” x 5”) cardstock to the 4” x 5 1/4”) Spruce cardstock and then adhere this into the inside of your card.
  10. Adhere some grass if you would like to Along the bottom
  11. Adhere the sentiment to the inside using dimensionals placing it in the middle so that you can see it through the window.  **The reason for the dimensionals is so that when you fold open the card it has something to hold up the window front.
  12. Optional: Now Stamp on your envelope so it coordinates.
  13. PHEW!  That’s done.
