Bubble Background Birthday

This card was lots of fun to do.  You can play with whatever color combination you like.  I made a second one but instead of using the Blueberry Bushel cardstock for the Happy Birthday, I used the Pumpkin Pie that I cut out from the piece of cardstock that mats the white since no one will see that you cut it our from there.

           BUBBLE BACKGROUND HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Cased Juli Baca

HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:

  1. Start with the lightest color (lemon lime twist) and the blending brush using circular motions to create 4-5 circles on the white cardstock.  Allow some circles to “fall off” the page and make them different sizes
  2. Repeat and make a few more circles with the next color (Pumpkin Pie).
  3. Fill in some more circles with the third color (Blueberry), leaving a little bit of white spaces,
  4. Using the final color (Balmy Blue), go over the paper to fill in the white spaces.  Set it aside and allow it to dry before moving on to the next step of the process.
  5. Optional: Repeat steps 1-4 on the envelope flap
  6. Die cut out the letters for the sentiment and adhere them together.  Adhesive sheets have been added to the blueberry cardstock to make adhering it easier.  (If you would ike the top layer of lettering to be in Pumpkin, suing the sheep of pumpkin cardstock making sure not to cut by the edges.  No one will see that you cut out of this once the card is assembled.
  7. Stamp the inside sentiment.
  8. Using the dauber, and the white craft intake the template with the different size circles, iink a few circles in white onto of the paper from step 4.
  9. Adhere this to the pumpkin cardstock and then adhere this to the card front.  Finally, add the sentiment die cut using Dimensionals® and ad a few gems to embellish.

 ROLLING WAVES BIRTHDAY

CASED: Rochelle Laird-Smith

 HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:

  1. Take the a piece of white cardstock and run it through the die cut machine using the two larger wave dies.
  2. Use the water painter to create a water color effect on a strip of white cardstock.  WITHOUT squeezing the painter, run it on an ink pad then the paper.  Any time you are going to place the aqua painter on a new color please clean off the painter by running the brush on a piece of scrap paper.  When you have created the water color look that you like, see it aside to allow it to dry before you run it through with the die. (See step 8)
  3. Run the (4" x 5 1/4") white cardstock through the embossing machine in the Timeworn embossing folder (Or any folder of choice just to give it some texture). Adhere to the front cover of the card.
  4. Take the smaller piece of Cabana cardstock and run it through the die cut machine with the corresponding die.  Stamp the sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink then tie the linen thread around it 3 times securing it in the back so it won’t move around.  Using dimensionals®, adhere this to your card front.
  5. Take the smallest white piece of cardstock and shade the top half using the dauber and the Duckling Ink, on the lower half, use the stamp and the crumb cake ink on the lower half. Run it through the die cut machine with the corresponding die. Set it aside.
  6. Take the larger wave that you already die cut out and using the daubers and the Coastal Cabana and the Lost Lagoon inks, ink it to achieve the color you want.  Trim it down to two pieces to fit on the small white cardstock.
  7. Take the other wave die and trim it down to fit. Use the crumb cake and stamp a couple of sand dots on it then layer these three pieces to create your scene.  Adhere this to your card front using Dimensionals ®
  8. Now run the paper that you water colored and run it through the die cut machine using the little shells die.  Use these to add to the “scene” on the front of your card.
  9. Use a little Wink of Stella to sparkle up the shells. Add a bow to the front.
  10. Take the another 4" x 5 1/4") piece of white cardstock, stamp the inside sentiment, shade a little color in the bottom corner and add a few of the extra shells. Adhere this to the inside of your card.  Do the same to the front of your envelope.
