HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
I knew I wanted to make a Father's Day card AND, I definitely wanted to be sure to use this GREAT Designer Series Paper before it retires in June. So, I went looking for ideas. This idea I cased from Michelle Last. I fell in love with it but it is a little tedious to make.
"Where do I write a note?" you ask. The card base is white so you have the whole back side to write. I opted to add a tiny sentiment that just says you're the best. I hope you can follow my directions. I didn't have any to go by I just created based on the image.
HOW TO:
1. Stamp sentiment on white cardstock and punch out. Set aside.
2. Adhere one piece of the black DSP to the inside of the card front.
3. Adhere the blue and black check DSP to the inside of the card opposite of the black. Set card aside.
4. With the other piece of black DSP trim out the v collar and adhere to card front. With scissors, cut the “v” to go the card front.
5. With some of the scraps of the black DSP die cut suspender strips. Two will be used on the inside of your card as suspenders and the other two to create the cardigan look to the front of the card. I used mini black dimensionals.
6. ON the small piece of blue check DSP, die cut a collar and a pocket. Adhere to the inside of the card. (I used black dimensionals.)
7. Die cut a black DSP pocket for the front of your card. With a scrap of the blue check DSP, make a pocket tissue. Adhere to the front of the card. (I used black dimensionals.)
8. With the small piece of silver foil, die cut two suspender clips and one small strip which you will cut in half o create the suspenders.
9. Using the black cardstock punch out two sets of buttons and adhere to your sweater and inside shirt.
10. Stamp additional sentiment on back of card if you wish.
11. Adhere strips of DSP to envelope to coordinate. (Optional)
