WELCOMING WINDOW MOTHER’S DAY

One of the most important holidays of the year celebrates the woman who gave us life, who raised us with love.

Happy Mother's Day to all you beautiful women who have loved your children. Although my mother is no longer with us, I still make Mother's Day cards to send out to other mothers who have been significant in my life and to my sisters and friends who are mothers.

Why not brighten their day with a beautiful hand made card?

HOW TO ASSEMBLE:

     1.     Take one of the pieces of white cardstock and stamp with the flowers creating your background for the from “wall”.

     2.    Run this through the embossing machine in the brick embossing folder.

     3.   Lay this on the card front WITHOUT adhering it.  Run it through the machine with the window die centered where you would like it to be. Run it through twice since it will be cutting through two layers. Save the white window frame and set it aside.

     4.   Run the slate cardstock through the die machine with the window frame and the shutters.  Set aside.

     5.    Die cut the braces, the window ledge, and a mini pot on the Crumb Cake cardstock through die machine.  Set aside.

     6.    Adhere the piece of vellum between the pink card front (over the cut out) and the white cardstock to be your window, adhering the white to the card front.

     7.    Create your front window with the slate and crumb cake pieces and then on the inside of the card, adhere the white window frame.

     8.    On the other piece of white cardstock, you will be stamping the sentiment and the flowerpot so that it can be seen through the window.  You may want to check if your window is at the same spot as mine and then using the Stamparatus® stamp the sentiment then the pot.

     9.    On a scrap of white, stamp the flowers that should be sitting on the window ledge.

     10.  (Optional) Stamp the flap of your envelope to coordinate with your card.
