HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:
- Start with your (5 1/8” x 3 7/8”) piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and stamp it with the Rays of Light stamp and Crumb Cake ink. Set it aside. If. You would like your envelope to coordinate, you can stamp the flap of your envelope with the same stamp and ink.
- On your scrap of Pecan Pie cardstock, stamp the branch in the pecan ink. Fussy cut it out with your snips. Set aside.
- Stamp your bird on the scrap of white cardstock, then stamp only the top part of his head again off to the side and stamp with the eye glasses over the eyes. Color in using the Stampin’ Blends. Fussy cut out the two pieces. If you would like to have the glasses have a little of “shine” to them, using the fine tip glue pen, carefully make a thin layer of the glue over the lenses and let it dry. Be careful not to get bubbles. Set it aside to dry.
- On the small piece of blue cardstock, stamp the sentiment and run through die cut machine with the deckled rectangle die. Adhere to the Crumb Cake stamped cardstock in the upper right hand corner with dimensionals. Embellish with gems.
- Using the scrap of mossy meadow, die cut out some leaves for your branch.
- (Optional) I opted to give my Crumb Cake layer a “rough” look so to do this, take your open snips around the edges of the cardstock and scratch around all the edges. Adhere to the card front with dimensionals.
- Stamp the inside with your sentiment
- Create your scene for the front of your card and adhere using dimensionals. ** your bird’s glasses will not be dry yet so just set them aside until later before adhering.
