Old Fashioned Birthday card Fun fold (Whiskey Business)

For the month of April I focused on some of the stamp sets and other products that are being retired. Always sad to see some of them go but I always look forward to what is new. This is a fun fold card so you can use the concept with other Designer Papers, cardstock colors and stamp sets. Have fun with it.




OLD FASHIONED BIRTHDAY CARD

CASED: Kathy Kartak

 HOW TO ASSEMBLE:

  1. Adhere the DSP to the Saffron cardstock. 
  2. Wrap the linen thread around this a couple of times and tie a knot to the left.
  3. Adhere this to the card front.
  4. Stamp sentiment in Soft Suede on Vanilla cardstock then die cut.
  5. Die cut on Espresso with the smaller die.
  6. Die cut on Saffron with the larger die.
  7. Adhere sentiment to espresso die then adhere this to the larger die.  Adhere this to the card front using dimensionals over the linen thread.
  8. For the inside, take the (11” x 3 3/4”) piece of Saffron cardstock (scored at 4 1/2”, 5 1/2”, 6 1/2”) the 5 1/2” score line is a mountain fold and the other two are valley folds. Adhere the bottom of the Saffron piece to the bottom of the card base first, to make sure everything aligned. Then adhere to the top.
  9. Add  DSP pieces one to the top and one to the bottom.
  10. Stamp, color, then fussy cut out the whiskey decanter and two glasses on Basic white cardstock and adhere to the front of the fold.  Stamp the front of your envelope to coordinate.
  11. Stamp sentiment on piece of vanilla then die cut out.  Adhere to the top piece with dimensionals.  
  12. Using the dauber and soft suede ink, de-stress the edges of the last piece of vanilla cardstock and adhere to the lower part of the card so you can write a personal note.
