EMBOSS RESIST HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I saw Diane do this technique and I thought it was so cool that I had to give it a try. I think it turned out quite well if I say so myself.

EMBOSS RESIST HAPPY BIRTHDAY

CASED STAMPINWITH DIANE

HOW TO CREAT/ASSEMBLE:

  1. Take your 5” x 3 3/4” piece of white cardstock and set on the Stamparatus ® where marked. Since the stamp is larger than the piece of cardstock you can’t use the magnets to hold it in place so use some Repositional Tape (CM®) on the back to hold it in place.
  2. Using the little embossing buddy rub over the entire surface of that white cardstock.
  3. Ink the stamp with the Versamark Ink making sure you ink it well and stamp the cardstock. Wipe the stamp clean when you finish.
  4. Cover this now with the white embossing powder; making sure it is well covered.  Shake off all the excess and return to the case.
  5. Use the Heat Tool to set the emboss powder.
  6. Using the mini blending brushes and the ink colors of your choice, blend ink colors on this embossed card front until it is colored. Stark with the lighter colors working to the darker ones.
  7. Using the Starry Sky ink and the sentiments randomly stamp around the card.  Allow the ink to dry a bit then using either a tissue or a paper towel rub the card front to remove excess ink.
  8. Select the color twine you like best and wrap it around the lower half of the card two or three time and tie in a knot or a bow.
  9. Adhere this to the piece of Parakeet Party cardstock.
  10. Adhere this to your card front.
  11. Select the color lettering you want for the “HAPPY”, adhere that color of cardstock to foam adhesive sheets.  (This part has been done for you) Run through the die cut machine with the letters carefully pushing through 3-4 times to ensure it cuts all the way through.
  12. Adhere the letters to the front of your card.
  13. For the inside, on the 5 1/4” x 4” piece of white cardstock and your mini blenders and whatever ink is still on them, to add a touch of color to the inside of your card.  Stamp sentiment in Starry Sky. Make surety pay attention to the direction of our card.
  14. Adhere this to the inside of your card.
  15. Optional: if you would like your envelope to coordinate with your card, use the blending brushes and a bit of ink and ink the stamp on the Stamparatus ® Start with the Parakeet Party, then move on to the Tahitian Tide and lately the Orchid Oasis. Set the envelope in and line it up with the “envelope line” placing the white paper under the flap and stamp down.  Remember since you won’t be using the magnets to hod it in to place, be sure you rub down firmly on the Stamapratus ® plate to get the best imprint. PLEASE NOTE it is not intended to be inked darkly.
