I Can't Thank You Enough

I CAN’T THANK YOU ENOUGH

CASED from Jeanette Weeks

The card shown here is made with a different Designer Series Paper (DSP) and cardstock which are both retired but I used it as my sample in class.  Obviously, you can use any color cardstock and any Designer Series Paper to make yours and the sentiment can be changed as well.

HOW TO:

     1.     Take your piece of Heather cardstock and fold inwards at the score lines.

     2.    Take the piece of DSP which has also been scored and make a small mark with a pencil at the 4” mark at the top and bottom of the DSP.

     3.   Fold down the corners to the lower dot using your bone folder to brandish the creases.  Open.  Repeat bringing the bottom corners up to the dots. Open flat.

     4.   Fold first on the original score lines of the DSP–should be a mountain fold.

     5.    Then do valley folds on all the other score lines of DSP.

     6.    Adhere the 2 pieces of DSP rectangles to card front flaps.

     7.    To adhere the DSP to the card, use the multipurpose glue on the back of one of the two triangles at opposite ends formed by your valley folds.  Then put glue on the back of the square formed by your folds. And finally glue the opposite end triangle.

     8.    To make belly band, wrap the DSP piece around card, brandishing at the folds. Adhere together but don’t make it too tight or it won’t slide on and off easily.

     9.    Adhere the small square of Heather cardstock to the inside center of the card.

     10.  Adhere Whisper White cardstock to center.

     11.  Stamp the sentiment in Heather ink on the other piece of white cardstock then run it through the Stampin’ Emboss machine with the die from Stitched so Sweet.

     12. Run the piece of Heather cardstock through the machine with the next size up die.

     13. Adhere the sentiment to this die cut then adhere it to the belly band over where you adhered the two ends of the band. Slide it over the folded card.

     14. (optional) Adhere a piece of DSP to the envelope flap.
