Faux Shutter Father's Day

 FAUX SHUTTER FATHER’S DAY

Cased Christine Josti

HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:

  1. Take your small square of Pebbled Path cards stock and run it through the embossing machine in the embossing folder of your choice.
  2. Center your embossed square on one of the two (3 3/4” x 5”) pieces of beige cardstock and adhere it down.
  3. Starting at one corner of your square, run a THIN stripe of glue along it’s edge continuing on the same diagonal to the edge of the beige cardstock. Adhere  one of your 1/4” strips along here.  Don’t worry that the extra is hanging over; it will be trimmed later.
  4. Tun your paper 1/4 turn and do the same along this next edge of the square. Repeat on all 4 sides.  (You can choose to have the strip overlap or not.  Personal preference)
  5. Arrange your (2 1/4” x 4”) pieces of DSP in each corner however you would like; adhering down once you are happy with the placement.
  6. Once finished trim all the excess off.
  7. Adhere this to your card front.
  8. On the strip of beige cardstock, stamp your sentiment and then die cut it out.  Adhere to the card front using dimensionals.
  9. Add gems to embellish.
  10. For the inside of your card, stamp the sentiment on the second (3 3/4” x 5”) piece of beige cardstock then adhere it to the inside.
  11. Take your large (2 1/4” x 6”) piece of DSP and adhere it on to the envelope flap. If you would like to add some dimension, run it through the emboss machine in an embossing folder to match the paper on the center of your card.

BIRTHDAY TEPEE FOLD CARD

We created this card at a stamping event with the stamping team I'm on.  It was part of a Make-n-Take Card swap.  It's a lot easier to make than it sounds. When I got home, I created it in a different color using the birthday sentiment from the daisies stamp set on the pink card and the one on the blue card I do not own so... also, we embellished with ribbon and gems that we had on hand.  You can see both cards here. Also you will need to buy some velcro dots which are not a Stampin' Up! product.

BIRTHDAY TEPEE FOLD CARD

Cased Honi Hershey

HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:

  1. Take your 3 (4” x 4”) white squares of cad stock and score them diagonally.
  2. Cut your two (3 1/2” x 3 1/2”) and  one (1 1/4” x 1 1/4) squares of DSP diagonally.
  3. Place 2 of your white squares side by side; with the diagonal score lines meeting up at the top going outwards.
  1. Place the remaining white square over these two with the score line going vertically aligning with the edges of the other two. (The score line is parallel to where the 2 other pieces meet.)
  2. Glue this top square on to the other two, making sure that all score lines will properly fold.
  3. Flip this over and adhere all of the DSP triangles (if DSP has directionality pay attention to the direction.)

    7.   Flip it back over and adhere the two (1/2” x 3 1/2”) strips of DSP along the bottom edge from the center out.

    8.   Attach the velcro dots to close the cd (tepee).

    9.   Stamp your sentiment on to a piece of white cardstock and die cut out.

    10.  Place ribbon where you want it and adhere the sentiment with dimensionals on the front flap of the tepee.

    11.  Adhere cardstock to envelope flap then run through the emboss machine in the countryside embossing folder.

   12.  To place the card in the envelope undo the velcro and fold the card in half.  It will fit in the envelope.
