Embossed Phrases & Frames Birthday

When you go to create this card, you'll find that you can no longer get the Drybrush Cling Stamp or the Petals of Beauty dies.  Use any stamp that will create a little texture for the background of your card and then any die set that you have on hand that has foliage. For that matter, since it is a birthday card, instead of foliage, use balloons with strings coming down tied together. The new Impressions Plate is fun to use and Stampin' Up! is coming out with more  embossing dies so I found it was worth the investment. 

EMBOSSED PHRASES & FRAMES BIRTHDAY

 HOW TO CREATE AND ASSEMBLE:

1. Stamp the front of your card base with the Drybrush Stamp using Night of Navy ink.  Set it aside.
2. Run the (4 1/4” x 5 1/2”) piece of Navy cardstock through the die cut machine with the corresponding die.  DO NOT REMOVE the cardstock from the die. Remove plate #3 and place the die cutting edge up with the cardstock on it. Layer with the Impressions Plate and then the (gray) Embossing Plate (#4) on top. Run it through the machine SLOWLY keeping in mind that the Impressions Plate may stretch a bit as it is made of silicone.  That’s totally okay.
3. Cut off the sides and adhere the two longer strips on to your card.  One along the top and one along the bottom.  Save the two shorter pieces to adhere along the left edge of the front of your envelope.
4. Run the (4 1/4” x  2 3/4”) piece of Pecan cardstock through the disc cut machine.  Follow the steps from step #2.  Center the frame on the card front.
5. Run the (3” x 2”) piece of Old Olive cardstock through the die cut machine and again follow the steps from #2.. Adhere to the card front.
6. Take the scrap of beige and run it through the die cut machine using the same die you used in step 5 just to have the center oval.  Stamp the sentiment in Pecan Pie .  Adhere it centered in the opening using Dimensionals®
7. Run the strip of Old Olive and Mossy Meadow through the die cut machine with the leaves die.  Adhere to the card front.
8. Tie a double bow in the linen thread (already done for you) and adhere to the card front using a Mini Glue Dot.
9. Stamp additional sentiment on the inside of your card.
