KIMONO GIFT CARDHOLDER
CASED: KAREN TITUS
HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:
- This card is actually very easy to make (especially since I have already done all the scoring and cutting.)
- Score an 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” piece of Designer Series Paper at 2 1/8″ on each side.
- Fold toward the middle to make a gatefold card. (See photo below.)
- With the fold lined up at the 2″ mark, cut 3/4″ in on each side.
- Fold each side toward the middle. Push in these side folds. (See below.)
- Make a collar by turning over corners at the top of the “kimono”.
- Use a 1″x 6″ strip of the same paper to create the belly band and decorate.
- You can decide if you want to have a writing space on the inside or a gift card holder, or a book marker. (See below.)
- Use a piece of coordinating DSP to adhere to the envelope flap so the it coordinates with your kimono.
For fun I made a doctors coat using this fold snd it could just as easily be used to congratulate someone earning their different karate belts. See the doctor's coat below.. ( I used non Stampin' Up! materials to embellish)
