WAVES OF INSPIRATION BIRTHDAY CARD

First of all, I want to apologize that most of what I used on this card is retired but I was looking for a way to use up some of my retired cardstock, designer and specialty papers.  I loved making this card and thankful to Meg Loven for the idea.

       WAVES OF INSPIRATION BIRTHDAY CARD

Cased from Meg Loven

HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:

  1. Base is 4 ¼” x 11” for card base and 1” x 11” for Z fold piece. Fold both the strip and the base the same (mountain then valley) and burnish.
  2. Run your glimmer paper and your blue foil paper through the die cut machine each with one of the wave dies. Using your Fine tip glue pen adhere one over the other. Set aside.
  3. Adhere the 2 DSP pieces (2 5/8” x 4”) making sure the design is continuous. One to the far right of the card and the other to ihefront left fold.
  4. Adhere the small white cardstock (2 5/8” x 4”) flush up to the piece of the DSP on the inside of the card.
  5. Flip the “Z” strip to adhere it to the lower portion of your card. the  “Z” will be on the right side of the card instead of the left.
  6. On a small piece of white cardstock stamp the pelican and the happy Birthday sentiment and die cut. (If you would like to add a panel on the back of your card for additional writing area. Stamp the pelican on the white  cassock (4” x 5 1/4”) and adhere this piece to the back of your card.
  7. Die cut a couple of clouds in silver foil (or white if you prefer) Adhere to top right hand corner of inside of your card.
  8. Adhere the pelican with mini dimensionals so it is standing on the right of the card just above the “Z” strip.
  9. Run a ribbon or skinny strip of the DSP through the sentiment banner. Set aside for a minute.
  10. Adhere your wave on the strip on the front of your card. I would use the fine tip glue pen here.  (Be careful not to put glue on the part of the wave crest that overlaps the inside.)
  11. While the wave is setting, adhere the additional piece of DSP to the flap of your envelope and trim to fit.
  12. Add mini Stampin Dimensionals to the back of your sentiment and adhere on the wave.
