Season of Wonder

This stamp is so versatile.  It can be used for different seasons just by changing the colors and the foliage.  Although we don't experience changing leaves here in this part of Arizona it is fun to create the card and play with colors.  I made the card using the sponges which unfortunately Stampin' Up! is no longer carrying.  I trust that the blending brushes will work just as well just giving a smoother blend of colors.

 SEASON OF WONDER

HOW TO MAKE IT: (You'll probably want gloves)

      1.     With Washi Tape, adhere the piece of white cardstock to your workspace. Using a “template” of a circle punched out, sponge (or use blending brush) the sun in daffodil. (Center bottom so the sun is setting)

      2.    Use the punched out circle and place it over the sun you just stamped. Then using the sponges (blending brushes) and the inks, create your sunset.  I started with the lightest and moved outward to the blue. (Bumblebee-Mango-Pumpkin-Pacific Point.  You may want to play with the sponges (blending brushes) on your workspace to get a feel for how they work.

Ø  YOU DO NOT need a lot of ink.

Ø  Be careful not to mix the stamps and inks.

Ø  Do some sponging to the envelope and add woods stamp to envelope flap to coordinate. (optional)

      3.   Once you have created your background, stamp the woods in espresso ink. Then add leaves in Old Olive.

      4.   Glue this piece to the piece of espresso cardstock.

      5.    Wrap linen thread around twice and tie a knot.

      6.    Run the small piece of crumb cake cardstock through the die cut machine then stamp the sentiment.

      7.    Using dimensionals, adhere the sentiment over the linen thread.

      8.    Stamp additional sentiment on the inside.
