HI Everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to apologize for the quiet month here on my blog.  I did not host any card classes during June, so I haven’t had any new cards to share with you.

But the good news is -I’ll be back to posting again in July! I’m looking forward to getting creative and sharing new inspiration with you very soon.

Thank you so much for stopping by and continuing to visit the blog.  Your support truly means a lot to me!

See you in July,

Amy

The card above I made for a card swap with my Stampin' Up! Team members. I didn't write down the directions or measurements so I can't share that with you.  Maybe I will try to duplicate the card for July and then I will post the measurements and directions.  Stay tuned.

Happy Birthday (Cake Celebrations)

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY

HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:

  1. Let’s start with the easy stuff first.  Adhere the larger piece of Navy Cardstock to the inside of your card.
  2. Stamp the sentiment on the larger white piece of cardstock then adhere this to the inside of your card. (Optional: I used the same sentiment on the envelope front.)
  3. Stamp birthday sentiment on the piece of Slate cardstock then adhere to the card front on the lower left side.
  4. Take your smaller piece of white cardstock and start creating your cake.  First stamp the tray.
  5. Now decide how many layers you want your cake to have.  I opted for three. Take the stamp, ink it in Pecan, (you can make it a yellow cake if you want to and for that matter, you can make your cake whatever color you like!) and stamp off then stamp on your paper. (Repeat 1, 2, or 3 more times.  You can also higher layers smaller using the smaller stamp.  Your choice.)
  6. Take one of the stamps that creates the icing between or frosting on top and ink in the same color and stamp over your layers.  (You can opt for a different color if you wish I just like chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Mmmm good!)
  7. Stamp however many candles you want on top and add the flames.  Add flowers if you would like. And a couple of starbursts.
  8. Adhere this piece to the Navy piece of cardstock and then adhere this to the card front using dimensionals.

YOU ARE SERIOUSLY THE BEST-THANK YOU

YOU ARE SERIOUSLY THE BEST-THANK YOU

HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:

  1. Run each piece of cardstock through the die cut machine with the corresponding die.  (We’ll be using the 4 largest dies.)
  2. On the piece of the Crumb Cake cardstock you just die cut, stamp the leaves.
  3. Layer and adhere all the layers.  There I used Stampin’ Dimensionals®
  4. Stamp the sentiment on the small strip of white. On the back side of this, loop the linen thread a couple of times adhering with Stampin’ Seal® and then adhere this to your card front.
  5. Add a couple of gems to embellish.
  6. Stamp some leaves on your envelope to coordinate. And you’re all done!

Birthday and Thank you Gift Card holders

 GIFT CARD HOLDERS

HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:

  1. Where to start?? Let’s start with the embossing.  Since the embossing folder we are using is not a 3D folder, place one of the narrow edges of your gift card holder (GCH) in the folder up to the first score line, run it through the embossing machine sandwiched between two #3 plates.
  2. Now fold along the middle score line and burnish for a nice crisp fold.
  3. This next step is where Tear & Tape adhesive works really well but liquid glue will also work. Place the adhesive on the three “open” sides from that fold to the score lines (as close to the edges as possible). And adhere to close,  BE SURE NOT TO PUT THE ADHESIVE ON THE INSIDE BY THE FOLD!
  4. Using a personal trimmer or your scissors, trim a sliver off the folded edge.  (This is where the gift card will slide in.) Then, using a circle punch, punch out a small semi circle from that same side; centered; so it gives you a notch to grab hold of the gift  card.
  5. Now fold back along the two score lines (the pocket you just created will be inside)
  6. Adhere your DSP to the small piece of coordinating colored cardstock and then adhere this to the “front” side of your GCH (the side with the embossing).
  7. Each of the GCHs will get a piece of white cardstock adhered to the inside for you to be able to write a little note to the card recipient.  Stamp this piece of cardstock with the corresponding sentiment or little design on it and adhere it to the inside.
  8. For the Birthday GCH:
    1. On the extra piece of white cardstock, stamp one or two sets of balloons, color them in and die cut out.
    2. On the remnant, stamp the birthday sentiment and die cut out. (Or whichever order you prefer.)
    3. Die cut out the number you want for the birthday recipient in the Spruce cardstock.
    4. Run the ribbon through the tiny hole on the tag then tie with the twine in a knot so that it won’t come undone.
    5. Now assemble it all on the front of your GCH however you would like to.
    6. Take the little velcro adhesive that you received adhereing it to the inside framed inside the semi circle.
  9. For the Thank You GCH:
    1. On the little square of white cardstock, stamp your sentiment then die cut out.
    2. Die cut the Melon Mambo piece of cardstock with the next size up circle.  Adhere the two together. (Obviously with the sentiment facing out so that you can read it. ;0) )
    3. Take the ribbon, wrap it around your GCH so that you can line it up where you want it.  This is the other place where the tear & Tape adhesive is best. Adhere the Tear & Tape on the back of the ribbon then adhere it down. Tie your bow.
    4. Using Dimensionals® adhere the sentiment over the ribbon.

10. Now it is up to you to put gift cards in there.. Sorry I’m not providing those. :0)
