Sunrise Sailing Birthday

SUNRISE SAILING BIRTHDAY

Cased from a fellow WeStamper whose name I do not know.

 HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:

  1. Stamp the sentiment on the piece of Balmy Blue cardstock towards the bottom of the piece.
  2. Now run this piece through the emboss machine in the embossing folder.  Make sure to center it so that the sailboat will be hidden behind the front panels. Emboss the flap of your envelope as well.
  3. Adhere this to your card front.
  4. Take your additional piece of white cardstock, stamp your sailboat then die cut it out along with the background arch and the clouds.
  5. Run the Misty Moonlight cardstock through with the next size down of the arches.
  6. Your last arch will be in Navy blue.
  7. You will want to stack one on the other in ascending order.  I opted to use dimensionals between the white layer and the misty layer to give the crd a little more depth.
  8. De-stress the clouds with the balmy blue ink.
  9. Adhere the sailboat using dimensionals®, tucking in the clouds.
  10. Die cut out a couple of the seagulls and adhere.
  11. Stamp your sentiment o the inside in Misty Midnight ink.

Just Because

This card is sooo incredibly easy to make and so flexible.  Use any Designer Paper that you like both sides, pick a coordinating color cardstock for the base,  a single line sentiment, and that's pretty much it.  I opted to add the coordinating ribbon but not a necessary touch. Have fun with it.

JUST BECAUSE

HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:

  1. Fold and burnish your card base (4 1/4” x 11” scored at 5 1/2”)
  2. Take your (4 1/4” x 5 1/2”) piece of DSP Fold forward at an angle; trim excess on right.
  3. Temporarily position it on your card front and use a pencil to draw the diagonal line so you know where to stamp your sentiment.
  4. Stamp the sentiment just above the line. (Once the ink is dry, erase the pencil line.)
  5. Now adhere the DSP to your card front
  6. Take your ribbon wrapping it around the flap and tying a knot or bow on the front.  (I used tear and tape to adhere the ribbon to the underside.)
  7. Place a couple of Dimensionals® on the underside of the flap to adhere it down.
  8. Adhere the thin strip of DSP to the inside of your card along the bottom,
  9. Embellish the front with a couple of gems.
  10. Adhere the additional strip of DSP to the flap of your envelope to have it coordinate.
