We created this card at a stamping event with the stamping team I'm on. It was part of a Make-n-Take Card swap. It's a lot easier to make than it sounds. When I got home, I created it in a different color using the birthday sentiment from the daisies stamp set on the pink card and the one on the blue card I do not own so... also, we embellished with ribbon and gems that we had on hand. You can see both cards here. Also you will need to buy some velcro dots which are not a Stampin' Up! product.
BIRTHDAY TEPEE FOLD CARD
Cased Honi Hershey
HOW TO CREATE & ASSEMBLE:
- Take your 3 (4” x 4”) white squares of cad stock and score them diagonally.
- Cut your two (3 1/2” x 3 1/2”) and one (1 1/4” x 1 1/4) squares of DSP diagonally.
- Place 2 of your white squares side by side; with the diagonal score lines meeting up at the top going outwards.
- Place the remaining white square over these two with the score line going vertically aligning with the edges of the other two. (The score line is parallel to where the 2 other pieces meet.)
- Glue this top square on to the other two, making sure that all score lines will properly fold.
- Flip this over and adhere all of the DSP triangles (if DSP has directionality pay attention to the direction.)
7. Flip it back over and adhere the two (1/2” x 3 1/2”) strips of DSP along the bottom edge from the center out.
8. Attach the velcro dots to close the cd (tepee).9. Stamp your sentiment on to a piece of white cardstock and die cut out.
10. Place ribbon where you want it and adhere the sentiment with dimensionals on the front flap of the tepee.
11. Adhere cardstock to envelope flap then run through the emboss machine in the countryside embossing folder.
12. To place the card in the envelope undo the velcro and fold the card in half. It will fit in the envelope.
